W208 with 500 engine installed!!!
hello everyone,
after 2 days of hard work and tuning we (me and ali) swapped my 430 engine with a 500 engine, the car is a torque monster now especially with the 3.07 diff !!! it was really a very tough swap but everything smoothed out at the end... we got a bare bone 500 engine from a w220 s500, no air manifold, exhausts manifolds, power steering pump, nothing but the engine. all the items where taken from my 430 engine even the wiring harness. also we had to change the oil sump and catch can from the 430 in order for the engine to fit!!! i also reinstalled my brabus cams, evosport pulleys, and iridium plugs on the engine. the car is very fast now from 0-180 KM/H but is the same or slightly better on 180-250 KM/H. now we are trying to find the optimal custom tune for power with best gas mileage ... the car is blast to drive keep tuned there is more upgrades to come lol probably a set of headers and the crank pulley... but really dunno... i know most of you will probably say why not the 55 engine but their prices here are more than double the 500 engine ...

well yes in stock form they do differ only 26 hp and 70Nm in torque but when the cams make a bigger difference on the 500 as well as the pulleys and remap...

yeah big difference in torque (400Nm vs 460Nm stock), with other mods he'll achieve a bigger difference. we tried it today, the car's is really impressive , Skid Machine

to make it act as a 500 ECU, but this a special software to do it, btw every thing has the same part numbers, but you will need different oil sump and catch pan (for 430), exhaust manifolds, and engine mount arms... it was doable because i have a 430... on the 320 it will be much harder i suppose
