2005 CLK55 COUPE
02 CLK55 Interior
Hey all,
What do you guys think of the 2 tone Black and Gray, Designo interior for a 2002 Silver CLK55? Does it look good seeing it in person? I've seen a couple on the internet but yet to see one up close. Im interested in a CLK which has that interior but have not see the car yet. I really like the regular black interior but not sure about the Designo edition.

MBWorld Fanatic!
A black and grey designo interior in a silver CLK55? It sounds like a ROW (rest of the world/non-US) car, or somebody placed a special order and waited.
Per the 2002 MBUSA press kit, there were two US spec CLK Designo options for 2002. The 033 designo Espresso Edition came with a light brown Nappa leather, natural maple wood trim and black paint. The 036 designo Cashmere was painted kind of grey (they called it cashmere), with pebble grey Nappa leather and Auburn maple wood.
Two tone leather was available on any CLK320, as long as the birdseye maple trim wasn't ordered, on the CLK430 as long as burl walnut trim wasn't ordered, and on any CLK55 (which was only available with birdseye maple). Factory custom cars are around, so anything is possible.

I doubt it's Designo. It's just two tone like my blue & black interior.
