Can you put an updated model front bumper on?
Hey,
I really love the looks of the new front bumpers over the past few years compared to my 2002 CLK 430 which is very plain. Can any of the newer front bumpers (W209?) fit my 2002?

there isnt too many nice bumpers for the 430 and 55's.....there is for the 320 but i dont think that would fit our bumper ....the only bumper that would look nice is just the one ure talking about ..the bumper the c230 has....theres a few clk on here with that bumper but their from the other side i think

2002 clk430
This is what my bumper looks like finished it up sometime towards the end of last year. I"m lucky enough to have a shop full of tools and supplies plus my friend also helped me. I purchased a authentic c55 front cover with grilles off a forum member and got another clk bumper off of ebay. I did that because my bumper on the car was in perfect condition so after the project was done I sold that one. My bumper was cut higher so I did away with the clk long molding and now have the double molding on the c55 and c55 bumper lights and lower half. Its not as easy as just cutting a straight line and putting it together there was alot of cutting of peices to make the two different bumpers curves match. also the reinforcement in the bumper that holds the fogs in place needed to be modified to fit in the bumper. I don't have the best pictures but you get the ideal.
