Some douchebag smashed my passenger side window today in broad daylight in front of my house. The broken glass also cut some of the leather on the passenger seat and the door will need to be taken apart because pieces of glass are stuck in it and have jammed my door handle.

I didn't have anything valuable visible in my car that would attract someone to smash my window and my system was not stolen which makes me believe the vandalism was targeted. My buddies 03 Accord was also parked behind me and nothing was done to his car or any other cars parked on the street at that time.

When my drivers side window was smashed out my alarm did not go off either...I spent about 300 for replacement

 

Man that sucks!!!!!!!!!!! Our cars are not armed with glass breakage sensors, the only real way to make it go off is to either towing it or opening up the door while the alarm has been armed.

I wonder if this feature can be added aftermarket to our cars still??

In either case I wish you luck on getting it repaired quickly!!

Yo, people hate mang....it seems that our 10 year old CLKs are good targets for HATE.

My pass side is still 'keyed' 3 years later..

 

Mine got keyed about 4-6 months ago ALL THE WAY AROUND!!! I was so pissed about that cause now the factory paint had to be removed since such a deep scratch. My insurance fixed it but its the fact that the person that did got away with it thinking it was probably funny or something!! .

Thanks for the replies guys. Ya it sucks that our cars are not equipped with glass breaking sensors cause i would have heard it since it happened in front of my house and that douchebag would have been in serious ****.

Anyways, dropped off my car at a bodyshop on friday and will get the car back in a week. Although the douche never stole anything from my car, the fact that they smashed my windows means I'm out $300 to cover the deductible for the insurance and I was going to use that money to buy sport shocks so that I can finally install my H&R springs and lower my ride.
