Performance shop in SF/Bay area?
Can somebody recommend good performance shop somewhere in or around San Francisco – Bay area.
I just installed 19 inch Carlsson 2/6 rims. Planning to lower the car a bit, but not sure where to go? Somebody have experience with the shops in or around San Francisco – Bay area.
What brand should I go with? Any suggestions are really appreciated.

I just call this guy, and asked him about the quote. He said somewhere between $ 350 and $550 just for labor to change the springs. Is that how much it really cost??? I don’t want to be cheap, but that sounds like too much just to change the springs.
He didn’t recommend H&R. I’m not sure why ??? I heard they are pretty good.

Need your all advise. I really don’t want to do any fender modification but want the car drop a little and look nicer.
I have:
19x8 Carlsson 2/6 Brilliant with 235/35ZR-19 Dunlop SP Sport 9000 – FRONT
19x9 Carlsson 2/6 Brilliant with 265/30ZR-19 Dunlop SP Sport 9000 – REAR

What brand and set should I use to complete the task and avoid fender modifications.

Thanks

If this guy is steering you away from H&R, I'd steer yourself away from him. H&R are proven products on the W208. I would think about ordering your springs from Evosport because they will tell you exactly what your best options are. I believe they also have an affiliate shop in the Bay Area. If not, try Dynospot Racing. They don't specialize in Mercs but they did a great job on my Audi.

If you're just lowering your car, try tP...he's already done lots of work for board members.

You could ask for Steve Smith @ AutoBahn motors. He's a master-tech but is recommended by Brabus and Carlsson.

He will do jobs from spring changes to supercharger pulley changes. He did my friend's SLK32 RENNtech mods (pulley, springs, and brakes) for a good price.

I would suggest Eibach or H&R springs.

tP can lower your car at a decent price, he's not a pro shop but he just helps out other forum members. Mail him at tp@tpscene.com

If you're in the south bay, try TW Motor Sport. They have lowered many cars, some football players' cars, mine, and some friends. They are pretty good and reasonable price.

I had tP lower my car. I actualy did a lot of hands on work as well. It's fun to actualy work on your own car at least you know whats really going on. and 150 is probably the lowest you'll ever find.
