The only superchargers for the CLK would be Kleemann, Renntech, Carlsson/Lorinser, and HPS. I doubt any of them have any rebuilt/used kits, but you can always ask.

From those superchargers that you mentioned, which one do you think has the best tuning (the most efficient one, with quite cheap cost)?

Thank you,

Kleemann is the best and most expensive, HPS the cheapest.

wow theine, you haven't slept?
Do you always browse the forum at this time?
:-)

How good is the HPS and how much does it cost?

Thank you,

Solihin

I don't know the price, but you can check them at http://www.myhps.com/hpssuper.html
Also check the W208 CLK55 forum for several threads regarding HPS.
Oh, I am an early riser.

Kleemann is the best in terms of quality, reliability, performance, and cost. While there is one cheaper, it will end up costing more in the long run.

I just tested a KLEEMANN ML 55 K last weekend at Nardo high speed course in south Italy last weekend, where we made a little
projekt to see how fast such a car really could drive.

0-100 km/h in 4,9 sec. ( which I belive is a little over 60 mph )
0-200 km/h in 18,9 sec.
1/4 mile 12,7 sec. at 176 km/h.
Topspeed and new WR 282 km/h.

Tires 295/45 x 20" ( not exactly the best choise for top speed and
acceleration )

2 persons in the car, 1 driving the other holding the PC with a weight of 100 kg each and then the 2400 kg of the car it self.

Just imagine how a CLK 55 will drive

HPS superchargers are running around $9,900 against $17,000 for Kleemann. That's a big difference in price....but is it worth it?
Hmmm.....

They quoted me $9995 installed and they have the installer in Seattle, which is very close. They "said" they also give extended warranty for 4 year or 48,000 miles which ever comes first on
the entire drive train system. And I can bring it to any MB dealer if I experience any mechanical problem.

After hearing about TIm's case, I am feeling a little bit worry installing HPS. What do you guys think?

From my standpoint, they are two entirely different products. I have spoken with Tim, and have full confidence in what he says. A warranty is a great thing. Kleemann is working on one that will cover up to $30,000 (unlike others who only cover $8,000).

So they told you that HPS Superchargers are serviced by MB?

Is the Kleemann price listed in evosport.com updated?
It says tuning for CLK430 is $14,350 (without installation).
Anybody has done the Kleemann S/C on their CLK430?

I am quite sure it's approx. 16.500,00 incl. install for the 4,3 and 5,0, the 5,5 is more expensive.

From the SC I had 355.9hp and 346.8lbs torque. Crank numbers really aren't important, but if you use a 21% correction factor you get 460hp and 439lb-ft torque. --oh and this is using 91 octane

Since then, I've added another 20

Do tell!
How did you get another 20HP?
