Front Rotors & Pads

Recently bought 2001 CLK230 with 60,000 and its ready for front brakes, looks like rotors need replacing also. I've not worked on Mercedes before, any advise is appreciated - special tools, etc.

See attached.

Remove the caps (31b) and then unscrew the bolts (31c). That’s what hold the caliper (31a) in place. Remove the caliper, the pads, and the carrier. After removing the screws that hold the rotor, you'll need a big hammer to break the rotor loose. If you've never done this before, I suggest the assistance of someone who has. If you have done this before, several good smacks on the hub will break it loose. During reassembly, Blue Locktite on caliper screws and the rotor screws will ensure they come off easily the next time.

Good luck with that. Computer is like $1000. Have u spilled any liquids down where your cupholders are? Also, have your Indy look into the new connector for the Computers harness. These things can fail and cause tranny fluid to 'wick' up the harness and into the computer.
