you are a patient man! I wouldn't be able to wait that long.
Why is you license in trouble (if you don't mind me asking) ?

When it comes to my CLK, I'm used to wating. This is my 3rd round of tuning so I've learned to live w/o my CLK. My license is in trouble because of excessive speeding tickets. I've taken care of it, but another ticket w/in the next 6 months would not be good. Fortunately none of my other cars exceed 320 hp so I'm not likely to cause too much trouble.

Vadim :

You are right, it should be enough, no we don't have it larger.
Where would you find space for a 3L S/C, it will be as long as the engine and as wide as the block / heads on the outer side ( roughly ).

Lucas, I'd have to say that the exchanges b/t you and Vadim are the most informative discussions I have read on this board. I encourage you both to continue continue your tecnhical discussions, as they have helped me (and I assume other board members) learn much about the technical aspects of Mercedes tuning.

Lucas: Thank you for support.

3.0L does sound like a lot of fun. You are right it will be a monster - size and power wise.

Sleestack: Get ready, we are not that far away.

I am estimating 2 1/2 months until completion. Yes, I am patient, however, I'm also extremely preoccupied so I don't have much time to miss my car. Much of the wait has been because all of the custom parts had to be engineered and manufactured by various 3rd parties. Prior to this round of tuning my car was putting out 490 hp and 470 lb/ft torque. That was the 4.3 liter V8 fitted with the MKB 55 Hypertune kit and Kleemann SC. This round of tuning should get me about 650-700 hp and similar torque numbers but should aslo produce a car with much improved suspension, brakes, chassis rigidity, transmission and aesthetics (IMO of course). The 6.2 liter engine is a bored and sleeved V8, not the MKB V12. As for how much I spent on it... that's b/t me and Evosport, however, in the world of MB tuning, nothing comes cheap. The car should be an absolute beast.

I'm guessing around $110k. For that amount, I'd expect the work to be complete in a timely manner. Quote a date, meet the date.

You are making alot of assumptions about something you don't know about. I'm the customer and I'm very happy with the progress on my car. I don't think you quite comprehend the magnitude of the work being done. Then again, you've been whining like a biatch about your Kleemann SC even after you got a complete replacement, so perhaps you expect much more than I do.

....I'm guessing whatever the cost it will be worth every penny to Sleestack.....two things?

1. Are you going to have a custom baby racing seat to match the ones up front?

2. How does one insure such a beast?

I thought about the baby seat, however there won't be any back seats. I think I'll keep the kid out of this car.

As for insurance.... to my great surprise, my insurance covers all the mods as long as I send them proof of the work that has been done. My premiums are unaffected. It seems weird, but they have assured me many times that this is the case.
