What a 6.2 liter V-8 looks like 5 weeks from completion.

Vadim said that the block is much stronger now... so how much boost can it handle / how much boost will Sleestack's car be running?
well ben, I am acutally considering a project much like Sleestack's CLK for my SLK... but that's not for a few months... ?
Kenne Bell has extensively tested screw type kompressors. A 2.2L unit is capable of 600-620 at the wheels. Brandon mentioned to me that original unit we have is also 2.2L. So I am basing my R&D of those numbers.
If it is only 2.0L than we probably going to be down to 550-570HP at the wheels.
Care to share any experineces?
Hmm sleestack style upgrades on a short wheelbase 170? Better have your track suit, helmet, and fire suppression system ready at all times! That would be nuts!
I was, however, thinking about a 3.8L Blown V-6...
But god, imagine an SLK putting 600-620 HP to the wheels!!!!!!
I am just affraid that you run into problems with your project, you may have felt that with my comments over the last few month.
The compressor you have on that car now is a MX 420 ( 2,0 L), shortly a KLEEMANN MX 422 ( 2,2 L) will be avalible, this S/C is used in the new 55 kit and can be build in to the old system.
I can't remember the formula by head how to calculate the boost
of the S/C, I will try and remember it from the office tomorrow
then we can try and calculate how fast you have to spin the S/C.
Brandon just build a BRABUS G 5,8, that car runs trouble free with
a 0,4 - 0,5 bar in boost and my guess will be CR at 10,5 - 11 : 1.
You want to double that boost to a 4-500 ccm more displacement.
Sleestack, why are the mods for your car taking so long? Are they having problems getting the parts?

Is there anything available form Kleemann above 2.2L? Kenne Belle offers up to 3L.

So does this mean your MKB parts are for sale? Just curious.
