Machining the wheels
Hi,
I am planning to mount 4 wheels of the 18X8.5ET25 AMG SL 2pc on my CLK430. I called a Shop in LA, they said they will have to machine them in order to make them fit. Does anyone know how much they will have to machine in order to meet the correct offset for both front and rear??? I don't want the wheels to stick out the fenders. I have seen someone use 18x8.5ET31 for all four wheels before. Does anyone know a good shop where I can take to around LA area??? The place I called wanted to charge me $400~$450 for mounting the wheels and balancing all wheels. Is that within the fair price range??? Thanks in advance for your replies.

just a question... why don't you just get wheels that fit properly so you dont' have to go through the hassel of machining the rims...
Either case, I'm sure places like F1 Motorsports will take care of you that for you...
