Need some new tires again!! Help me out, gentlemen..
So I've managed to just about wear through a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 all seasons in less than 2 years.
I'll be needing to get a new set in the next couple of months and I know these topics have been posted before, but...oh well.
This time around I think I'm going to go with Michelin, and I want a "harder" tire than the Z rated performance tires. They're just too soft. I want something that I can keep on for at least a few years and still get some decent performance out of 'em. I mean...our cars aren't necessarily sports cars...
Any suggestions?
I'm also debating whether or not I want to run wider tires in the back or just get all the same size all around and get some wider spacers...

Well if your trying to get Longevity out of your tires I would say keep them all the same width So you can rotate them every 3k-5k miles and get the most out of them.

The only thing that is turning me away from that option is the fact of having 225s on the rear and I don't know what spacer I should get if I decide to go through with it...

Don't think that would look good not enough tire on the rear. even my stocks have bigger tires in the rear. Just find a harder compound tire with out getting to harsh of a ride

That's my thinking too.
I think I'm going to go back to a 255 in the rear too.
I'm really thinking about the PS2s, but I just can't decide if the Michelins are really worth that kind of money...
What brands are ANY of you guys running and how do they handle across the board in all weather situations?

Hi there,
I recommend the Michelin A/S Plus. I have never driven on them but I am planning on purchasing them as my next set. I work at a tire shop and have done a bit of research and these tires really stand out. It comes with a 45k warranty from the manufacture compared to the original A/S which comes with no warranty. They are a bit pricey but I think they are worth the money. The other option I was looking at were the Bridgestone RE960 Pole Position but I have not been too satisfied with bridgestone in the past and will probably go with the Michelins. Hope that helps!

I have ps2's and love them. I had the A/S and found that they did not handle well at all. I deal w/ snow also but would not go back to the all seasons. I take the other car when it snows
