Wait until you drive it!!! It so helps to tie the front end together, and increase stability. I've been looking at those best motoring videos and my car is inching ever so class to being track ready, but I have a ways to go before I get to Tery's level...

Was wondering when someone was going to say something about that. Man that pulley kit is great...I ready to take on a stock CLK55...well maybe not a 55 yet...guess I should start off by racing a stock CLK320.

Well since I have the rear strut which tremendously changed the CLK's handling I would really need to put the car through some serious tests unless I disconnect the rears and see what the handling differences are. I can tell that there is a difference but my office is only 10mins away from my home so I have not been able to drive it over 30mph yet. Maybe today

Can't wait tell February/March to be one of two persons that will be the first to have the P1 Performance V6 Headers. Thanks Ghost

Looks great! Thinking about getting some pullies and headers. Did you install the pullies yourself?

I'm too lazy...I'd rather be beat'n up some guts or sleeping.

I have my shop install it who I'm in talks with to be my sponsor for some car shows here.

99CLK320,
you have to cut a hole in the trunk liner adjacent to the top of the rear shock absorber on both sides. I loosened the trunk liner from the back seat side to access the top of the shocks. remove one of the nuts on top of the shock place the bracket on the shock spindle and replace and tighten the nut. Its really very very simple. make you cuts in the trunk liner so that the strut bracket, when mounted, will protrude past the liner so the bar can then be attached.

So, unlike the front strut there is no drilling? You just undo the nut on top of the two struts and place the cleats from the strut bar on top and them bolt down?

It would really help if VIP would support his products and include detailed instructions on how to make the install correctly; to his intended standard. I did contact him, but he directed me towards the forums. With this in mind I will not install the front strut for two reasons:

1. There should be torque recommendations on all bolts.

2. The nut inside the metal bushing is questionable; perhaps there should be a rubber bushing inside this rolled steel bushing.

3. There should be a template or percise measurments on where todrill. There are stresses that will be exerteded on the sheet metal that it is fastened. The issue is the best place to make contact. Just to use existing holes from other mounted items is not scientific or by any means. There may be a location on both sides of the engine compartment that allow the sheet metal to handle all loads equally, thereby sharing the stress. This is one of the main reasons strut bars are saddled directly over the struts themselves.
