Never heard of this package?
Can you give us some more info, like where you saw it, what part of the contry or country, and possible the color?
Maybe it's a dealer thing, something that they add?
There are a few packages that I know of;
AMG
Designo
And there are aftermarket companies that have there own packages,
Brabus,
Rentech,
Kleemann
Have you tried the MBUSA site?
I would tend to believe that this is a dealer thing, like paint protection, or some other useless add on.
I could be wrong but I doubt it.

No one is answering because MBZ does not have a "Platinum Package". MBZ only has Avant Garde, Sport or option packages indictaed by alph numeric codes like C5, C7, E2 etc.
In '99 the Designo Limited Edition were not available- they are described by color names. Example: Silver Edition: Designo, Espresso Edition: Designo etc.
Here are the major options available in 99 for the CLK430:

None of the W208 CLKs have a power tilt or even tilt at all cause its based off the old C-class chasis.
