Has anyone received an empty package???
I just got a Paypal dispute because someone got an empty package. It was apparently ripped open and delivered that way.

What company did u use to ship...I used to work for ups and if we recorved a box that was open someone would investigate and they would backtrack to where it was last scanned until someone made a report...usually ups would send it back to shipper instead of delivering it

hmm...the postman should have said something to either his superior or the recipient because ultimately it will fall on his hands..but there are a lot of possibilities that could happen

i dont know if u know the guy personally but....i really think he is trying to pull something on u...mail is government...and it will fall on the shipping company's hands if something like that happens...and they would make sure item is in the box especially if the company tapes it up...theres also the possibility that during transit so much weight was on top of that box thats why it was recieved in bad condition...but the item should still be in the box....

99CLK320,
who done it
Mel, go to your list of people that you mailed the camber arms to then PM each one of them to contact you. the person that doesn't respond will probably be the one the filed the dispute. if more than one don't respond that kinda shoots my exercise in the ***.

Well, Hey guys
I am the actual guy who received an empty package from ghost rider,
and since you brought up on the forum, I will go head and continue to show
more of my side
Yes, I did received an empty package and it was ripped off and USPS put a plastic bag on it.
I personally never received any package like this, and I understand you doubt about me, but why would I lie for 215 that isn't even worth to lie?
In the sticker here says
"REC'D IN BAD CONDITION; SEATTLE, WASHINGTON"
"Received without contents as Seattle, WA'
I will take good picture of it and I will post it up here later the day
but my first question is
Ghostrider, why did you sent your camber kit on a paper envelop?
Why did you do that?
I guess I can blame on you..
Second, as I said so many times, file a insurance claim though USPS
we have enough evidence that shows it did not come anything with it, and
Post office is telling me only sender can file the insurance claim for damaged or missing package..
Anyway, I am sure picture is worth more than hundreds of words,
I will post up a picture soon

FWIW I met s4avt at a local dyno meet today. Granted I've only known the guy for about 3 hours but I didn't get the impression that he was the type of guy to lie about something like this. I believe his story.
Edit: this was my 666th post....spooky

I think everyone is ruling out the fact that there is also Corruption in Government. It is possible that a postal clerk ripped opened the box, stole the camber kit, repackaged it as damaged. I've seen this happen allot in the postal system.
Don't believe there is corruption, ask VIPCLK320 about how the post office ripped him off. The first time he sent me a package they charged him I think it was like $70 when it should have cost $15. He tried to file a claim for their error but the Post Office immediately denied his claim. My address is a U.S military address that travels through the US Postal System. they charged him $70 because he had my base Japan at the bottom on the package, it never traveled through International or Japanese Postal System..WTF!!!

Sorry for going off topic ghostrider.....I put down 249 HP and 256TQ which is more then I thought I'd get with a stock HP rating of 275 and my heavy *** 19" Carlssons. Apparently the Kleemann headers are performing well.
I think the 208 CLK55 was right under 300 maybe 295 but I could be wrong.

This quote is from another thread about this incident:
Makes perfect sense to me.
GR, there is a lot wrong here.
It’s incumbent upon the seller to ensure shipped goods are received in satisfactory condition.
For Ghostrider to have invested but $4.90 in shipping for his $215 camber arms may have been penny wise and pound foolish in this instance.
Setting aside for the sake of this discussion that he is selling his commercial wares via IB/MBW without having procured proper sponsor status, you ought to rightly be made whole if he’s at all a man of conscience.
Certainly he had the good sense to insure the shipment for its market/replacement value, yes?

I'm with you but another member was contacted me that had a ripped envelope but he received all of his content... I'm just saying. Received in bad condition and receiving an empty package are two totally different things.

To be honest, I spoke with the Post Office, and the guy I spoke with believes the package was delivered with some content. That's why it was wrapped in plastic, and came with a note attached. I have asked repeatedly what was missing so I can write the Dead Letter Office in MN to see if the items had been recovered.
It seems that he wants the content and a refund.

GR, I understand it is hard to believe that I didn't received any.
But the fact is that I did not receive a thing. and that;s why I took a close up picture of the sticker, what it says is what it is.
It clearly says Received without contents on the sticker.
I was keep telling you either you can send me an actual camber that I supposed to get or money back. I told you that it is your job to collect money from postoffice if it was insured.
I can't honestly tell you what I am missing because I didnt even see it in person..
please believe me and lets get it solved. I understand you are also makeing or in progress of developing a new exhuast system, and I hope this won't hurt you business in the future.
How much longer do I have to wait?
I feel like, I spent 215 for an empty envelop.

I will be faxing over the information to USPS on Monday of what to look for, hopefully they will find it and we can both have some closure.
I will say you have taught me a valuable lesson... Thank you for that.

You filed a dispute with PayPal, we can raise it to a Claim and let them get to the bottom of this.

I don't really mind getting a camber kit, which I originally needed.
as long as it is insured and shipped with proper packaging, and I don't mind paying you extra for shipping.
Please let me know
