DC,

I know exactly what you're talking about! My cars front right tire used to rub against that 'joint' really hard when I was going up a drive way at a fast speed (going up-right), and shaved some rubber off the tire each time. It also didnt sound too good when that was happening. I was thinking about shaving around where that bolt goes into, and making it a bit smaller. what are your secrets around working out that problem?

If it rubs on the inside, add a spacer.
If it rubs on the fenders, pull the fenders.

If you need it done right, go to Wayne!

Derek, I went to A-one and talked to wynne on thursday and he said I would have to pull the fenders out. The tires don't rub when I make a turn in normal speed, it rubs when the wheels are turn to an angle and hit a bump. I'm going to change the spring pads when I have time and roll the fenders in the front, if that doesn't solve the problem I would have to ask wynne to pull the fenders out. BTW hows your car ? Any news on the RS kit and HREs? See you around.

If you do take it to A-One, I'll probably help him if I'm in town. I'm out of state often and just haven't had time to work on the cars. I have to finish the work on the BMW and then I'll get back to the CLK 55. I've got an authentic Carlsson CM60 RS kit and have done a few small mods on it. I'm still messing around with my wheel and suspension options. Since I'm out of town so much, it's not a big deal. I hope to be on the street in a month or so. I hope to see you at A-One soon.

If your tire is rubbing on the nut, there's a low height nut that will give you a few mills (This nut is hard to get, it's an aerospace specialty part). This will work if you only get an occasional rub and the interference is very small. If you are hitting on both the nut and stud or just the stud, I would recommend a spacer. After adding the spacer, rubbing on the outer edge needs to be looked at. Unfortunately, rubbing on the outside is another ballgame. Good luck.

Yeah the chrome part is now black, and the center part was black now it's silver BTW, I think my car is lower than the cup kit, it's actually a lot lower than in the pictures, I rub every turn I make and scrape a lot. I'm going to change the spring pads and probly shave the inner part of my fender.
