Best Ipod integration kit for our W208

I am looking for an ipod kit for my factory stereo. I do know that if I find something I will need to use the cd changer connection which is fine I dont really listen to CD's anymore.

My question is what is the best out there that will retain most of the factory stuff like the steering wheels controls along with installation and suck.

Looking to buy something soon and need help. Also the URL to the website purchased would be great as well.

Need something that works with an iPod, iPhone, USB sticks, USB powered hard drives, Bluetooth capable, retains the steering wheel controls, can be self installed, and doesn’t require the cutting of any Mercedes-Benz wiring? This is what I did. This is why I did it.

If you want to use the factory head unit, you can use a Bipes MP3 adapter.

Alternatively, the factory cassette deck can be used to read digitally stored sound. In the 1990’s, we used Duo Digisettes. That’s a digital audio player that looks like a cassette, and will play music through a cassette deck. MP3 tracks are loaded into a Digisette with a PC. You can find used ones on Ebay. This is the least expensive route. I’ve got at least two of them around the house somewhere.

I remember reading about it someplace, but can't remember any details. With the factory COMAND system, don't you have a jack in the glovebox? Or are you looking to control the iPod from the head unit?

Yeah have the jack but it sucks for me because my other 2 vehicles control and charge the ipod so whenever I drive the clk I either forget it on then it dies from just playing while i'm not in the car and can't control it.

PM me your address, and you can have one. It looks pretty close to new, and it's in the original box. It comes with rechargeable batteries, the AC charger, cigarette lighter charger, ear phones, software, holder with a belt clip (in case you want to listen while jogging), and the manuals. The batteries are old. You’ll need new ones – the ones in it will probably only hold about an hour’s worth of charge. IIRC, batteries are about $5 at Internet retailers.

Other than shipping, it's free. I'll send it out on Saturday.

It's the cable that plugs into the top slot on the rear of the original equipment radio. The spot is labeled #1 in this photo.
