Hey guys yesterday after making a u-turn my wipers came on automatically even in the off position and now the wipers won’t stop wiping intermittingly. I don’t have rain sensors and I also recently had projector headlights installed.

Anybody here know what caused the wipers to come on by itself and how to fix it?

 

Update. I removed the wiper relay which disabled the wiper and purchased a new one thinking it was probably short. However, i installed the new relay and the wiper still wipes automatically.

I don't think its the wiper switch because all the other wiper modes work i just can't get it to turn off. Can anyone chime in?

 

Could be the rain sensor, which you can test by unplugging. Of course, it could be the $10 rain sensor harness. If it's the switch, the good news is they are inexpensive.

 

Took the car to an Indy to get diagnosed. He said my SAM unit (Signal Acquisition/Activation Module) needs to be replaced. Fack its an expensive fix too.
