Had the same problem and feel your pain, what you need to do is shake the grille left and right and peep to see if you can see the hood release, if you can't means your going to have to cut the grille, not a big cut but big enough so that the hood release can come out so that you can pull the hood open. Or you can probably try to reach it from under the car which is also an arduous problem whichever way, best of luck, I almost went crazy too.

Yes I can see the latch and move it but it looks like it can't go any further up. As if the grill blocks it. How did you get yours fixed??

PLEASE HELP!!

Damn 006, you had me all choked up with all that desperation!

I went out and looked at my hood catch and it seems pretty simple (i'll post some pics if you really need them).

Do this:

-pop the hood from inside the car

-get two stiff, wire coat hangers and exaggerate the hook so that you can snake it back towards you.

-catch the "J" part of the latch that's holding it closed and pull it towards you. The lower you catch this part with the hanger, the more torque you'll get for pulling. By the looks of it, the 2nd or 3rd opening from the top is your best bet.

-this should realse the hood completely.

Let me know if you need the pics, but try it first.
