something new in progress
i just did it today in my bud's paint shop. you would not believe how simple and 15 min work can raise a value of the car(in my opinion).i will post some pics in night and day light...forget about "hobby shop window tint paint in a can and then clear it" stuff,not necessary for REAL...

All tinted tails is not my style but good job. Why didn't you pull them out to do it less time masking off and you wouldn't have to worry about overspray. Also why does your clk430 say c55 AMG on the back?

he did masking and spraying in about 20 minutes, it will take longer to take the tails off,for the c 55 someone stole the original clk emblem, so i put what i had, but i am browsing ebay for a new one any suggestions...?

I am sorry but mercedes benz cars does not look good with tinted tail lights!!! It doesn't even look good when the windows are tinted on them!! But I can understand why some owner's tint there windows on mercedes benz cars. Also by having the tail lights tinted it does not raise a value of mercedes benz cars not at all .It actually might decrease it ! With that said if you like it that way that what matters to the one's that like tinted there tail lights!! But I wish the tinted tail light would only be done on chevy , ford, or even chrysler pick up trucks !!

jbenz99 chill down, the way you said it sounds like you should only buy silver color. Black color should be on American made cars. whatever you think its ugly just keep it in your mind. To you it decrease the valve of a car to some people it might be an extra value to it. Just a though when I see you type so many !!!!!!!!!!!!!! in you sentences. just chill there are a lot of cars with tints out there, hope you don't get made every time you see one.

For me, having a black CLK I too have thought about tinting the rears, but like others have stated, it doesnt really sit with me right when I see it done, despite the fact that you have done a great job !
If I was going to tint, I would like to keep in keeping with other Mercs and just tint the clear reversing lense section. They do this on a lot of models like the SL (see photo). Has anyone done this?

Now thats exactly what I was wanting, you have done a really nice job, not too dark just smoked the reversing lense only just like the SL has. It looks much better I think, then doing the whole light, more original and standard looking and does not look like that cheap 'purple' when you see the whole lights sprayed ! LESS IS DEFFINATELY MORE !

Thanks. The tails lights have held up really well - no chipping, peeling, fading, etc.

% ON MY FRONT WINDSHIELD GONNA LOOK DARK AS HELL.
U ARE LUCKY..I DUNNO HOW U PULLED IT..
HERE 2% LIMO AND 6 INCHES DOWN ON MY WINDSHIELD AND ITS 2% AS WELL.
