Exclamation Rear End Squeaks in cooler temperatures!

I live down in San Diego by the beach. My car has a really annoying squeak in the rear. I tried spraying some lube around all the moving bushings and what not on the rear about 4 or 5 different spots. When the temps are 60-75 or 80 degrees Fahrenheit its really bad. But when i drive it into warmer temperatures 85-100 degrees Fahrenheit the squeak pretty much disappears...Do you think this means it would be my shocks maybe? Any ideas or has anyone experienced this. I am lowered on Bilstein sports.... but i also ordered them off EBay, from a reputable seller... but still you never know right? any help would be great.

That is always a possibility, I have only had my fronts replaced. Is that a common thing to happen when they go bad? To squeak? I dont want to just throw parts at the problem. even tho rear wheel bearings are not expensive. but also i doubt it could be that, because when the car is parked I can put my foot on the door seal and shake the car left to right and it still makes the noise. really annoying!!!!!! no one has ever experienced this?

It's the camber kit! I bought Ghostriders also but took it off after 2 months because of excessive squeaking..

lift the rear up..

to test if your wheel bearings are bad, move the wheel side-to-side.

if it moves, your bearings are shot!

it also could be the Diff itself making noise.

I know because I have confirmed, my wheel bearings are BAD and it also makes noise when the car moves.

the rear bearings are a pain. you have to remove all the brakes, even the axles from the diff, just to get to the bearings R&R.

I don't think my noise is wheel bearings because when wheel bearings in the front go bad they make a humming noise but this is just a squick like an old door opening and it's when i go over bumps or brake when i'm reversing. If its the camber kit it's very strange because i've had them on since last december and the noise just came on about a 2 months ago and i have brand new shocks so i know it's not the shocks.

Maybe you just noticed the noise. I have to park in a garage everyday for work and it echos every sound. I would hear it on a daily basis.

Damnnnnn i do have the rear camber arms!!!!! do you think this could be the problem!? I sprayed the camber arms with silicone spray and nothin. It still squeaks like crazy. almost seems worse now I swear! This is a big bummer if it is the camber arms. I dont even have my stock ones anymore. Plus im so low i need them! but this squeak is getting so annoying. What would make the camber arms squeak so badly like that?

I believe it's the joint of the camber arms that make it squeak. A member on here sells this waterproof silicone lubricant that you can use on the camber arms. I'm buying it for my next kit. He said it stop the squeaking completely

If you are looking for an answer to your problem I may have a solution. Most water and oil based lubricants will work to lube those camber arm joints for a while, but eventually through weather or car wash, the lubricant will be stripped away. I sell a silicone base lubricant that I have used on my camber kit with no squeaking at all. It is waterproof and prevents rust and corrosion on a variety of materials. Anyone interested PM me and I will get you pricing on Monday.

Is it something that we can apply now that most of us already have the camber kit installed. If so give a brief explanation of where/how it needs to be applied.

Your's wasn't a squeak though, you just didn't let the joint loosen up.

What I do is jack up the car and take off the rear wheels, and spray the lube on the joints themselves.

Sorry but that was definitely squeaking. I have video. 2 months was enough time for that sound to irritate the hell out of me

Something like a lubricant or a change to the arms?
