212,000 Thousand Miles!!!
So.. Im taking her in for service. Basically I want the whole car gone over! I dont want a single thing missed! The point of this post is, I want you guys to help me out and tell me what you think i should have checked over very carefully or what not. I had the tranny serviced back at 170k. Probly have it done again just for preventative maintenance. So here is a list of what Im going to have done. Let me know if there are something you think i should replace now before its too late!
-Tranny Serviced
-Brake Fluid Flushed and changed. With SS lines added.
-Coolant flush and change.
-Oil changed
-Fuel Filter
-AC Service, and Recharge,
-Spark Plugs and Wires... Any suggestion on really nice efficient Plugs?
-One service guy told me I had a leak on the front of the motor. I will definitely be having that looked at! Any one experience this before?
So that is my list so far! Any suggestions and add ons that you guys think i should have checked or replaced. Please let me know!!!
Thanks guys!
And also If you have any suggestions on a very reputable Indy in the San Diego area let me know! Im open to all suggestions!
If the brake fluid, coolant, & fuel filter are due, I'd change them. Since the trans was just serviced 30K, I'd spend that money on something else.
I'd swap the plugs, leave the wires, and have them check the condition of the fuel filler nozzle seal in the filler neck.
If the AC is working properly, I'd leave it alone. Freon doesn't go bad.
How old are the O2 sensors? (I just ordered all 4 last night) How old is the thermostat? The air filters?
I would also check the condition of the flex discs, check the motor mounts, retorque the steering gear bolts, and have them see if the rear diff seals need replacing (the diff will be wet if the seals are gone).
Other than that, the next stop may be 300,000.

What do you contribute this impressive # to?
Marcus already provided good inputs.
No additional suggestions, other than timely routine maintenance using using quality fluids/filters, I'm a big fan of 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it'.
BTW, I'm still on the original factory brake pads with 70,000 miles (although the front pads are getting thin).

Other than that and what everyone else said, I think that's all. Oh, be sure to get your 155,000 mileage badge from MB! Fill out the application here and take your car to get your odometer verified by a MB dealer to receive your badge.
