question of the day on xenon lights?
the mb dealer tells me that 1998 CLKs are not wired for xenon headlights and that they're factory installed. Can I get aftermarket ones installed anyways or are there that would stop from doing this ?
i guess the factory installed ones come with automatic stabilizers/adjusters to reposition the lights every once in a while but i don't need that ..................or do I?
later dudes

byip25, do you have xenons, and are they aftermarket. Would like to hear your insights on if they are worth it or not. They sure look cool but are they that much better than regular headlights ???

You can get OEM Xenons installed
You can get OEM Xenons installed on your 98 CLK I did it my self.
the only thing you will not have is the Self leveling system or headlamp washers. The plugs for the power are exactly the same on both the Halogen and Xenon. If you don't really load down the back of your car Like carrying bricks or stuff then you don't have to worry about anything. It only takes about 2 hours max if you have never taken the front bumper off of your car. Otherwise it is pretty easy an should take an hour or less.
I have not had anyone flash me yet as to being annoyed with my oncoming head lights.
