rear fog light
As you know benz has the rear fog light, where the driver side gets like 30% brighter (I think that is the # that my service adviosr told me) so when you are backing up or something you have that extra light....
im wondering if anyone has put a brighter bulb in the pass. side so that its a dual deal....
just curious...

The purpose of the rear for light is so people behind you can see you when it's foggy out. Making it a dual set-up would confuse a lot of people into thinking they're brake lights.

The rear fog lamp is indeed there so other drivers can see you in poor conditions. I agree that dual red fog lamps showing to the rear (only direction allowed in the states) would confuse many although some newer British cars have dual rear red fogs. If you are interested in brighter reverse (white/clear) lamps, you have 2 choices; add a separate brighter lamp or replace your existing bulbs with higher wattage. Both have thier drawbacks. The first option can be ugly and difficult to mount and wire. The second can cause blown fuses or melted plastic lenses if the wattage is too high.

I had a fog lamp installed on the other side. It looks neater when I switch them on. But I dont usually only when its really foggy so I dont get mistaken for a motorbike or something.
Overall, the dual fog lamps at the rear are cool! They are bright amber at the inner lenses, then comes the tail light in the center lenses and finally the tail light with th integrated brake illumination at the outer lenses

outside the fact that having dual rear foglights are illegal, it is also super annoying driving behind people who have it on for no apparant reason, thus having 2 would make it twice as annoying!
using while backing up might be useful, but no while driving.
just my .02c

btw, it's very good for annoying those that are tailgating you. That's one of my way to get ppl off my back. The other way is to just stump on the gas and show'em "don't mess with AMG"
