Fun with CODES.....!

I took the following codes shortly after replacing all plugs. Now running NGK Iridiums.

Ran well for first day or two then all hell broke loose.

What looks to be my problem? Is it my install of plugs? Due to not replacing wires? Are the O2 Sensor and Sensor Heater Malfunctions due to the misfires or the other way around....the misfires due to the O2 sensor and O2 sensor heater malfunctions?

As always, thank you for your knowledge!

MY FUN CODES:
PO300 - Random Cylinder Misfire
PO301 - Misfire Cylinder 1
PO304 - Misfire Cylinder 4
PO305 - Misfire Cylinder 5
PO306 - Misfire Cylinder 6
PO307 - Misfire Cylinder 7

PO130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malf. (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
PO135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malf. (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

PO150 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malf. (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
PO155 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malf. (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

Hey. are you actually sure about having installed the spark-plugs in a correct way?
I think you should remove them and take a look at bottom of the spark-plugs and check, if the rubber got hard and dry inbetween. after years the rubber uses to break and can take influence the isolation, so that your ignition becomes faulty.

another point might be the wiring, especially the connections-plugs.

My 230k had nearly the same problem. In the end i discovered the problem: one of the ignition-units above the spark-plugs was defect.
the O2-Sensor errors may be caused by the misfire.

Yep, agree with above. Also, is there any way you may have put the wrong leads on the wrong cylinders?

Edit: I see it ran well for a day or two, so wires are probably on correct plugs. Did you just yank on the wires to get them off the old plugs? This usually results in broken wires internally.

Good luck with it. Let us know the outcome.

cheers

Pretty certain the wires are at correct plugs. Will dbl check this weekend. As for pulling i used a wire puller. They are original at 95K and were somewhat baked on but with a little muscle they came off. There were a few in the tighter areas near the firewall where a crescent wrench was used at the plug. One thing I did find odd was in putting the wires back onto the new plugs (there is a ton of give and are very easily pulled off compared to the muscle it took to remove from the old plugs. Thanks for the ideas. Keep em comin!

I replied to the PM but now that I am reading throught the codes again I can almost guarantee you that you need to replace the oxygen sensors. I need to look at my original post to compare the bank locations and tell you if they were the primary or secondary sensors. I ended up replacing both primaries with universal Bosch sensors and have not had any issues since.
