tiptronic???

What's up guys.I was wondering about the real purpose in using tiptronic.I barely use it cuz I'm worried I'm not shifting the right way and don't want to mess anything up.are u suppose to let off the gas when shifting or leave it down.I noticed it takes a couple seconds before switching to another gear if I'm trying to race somebody, am I better off leaving it normal to race? Any info about tiptronic would help thanks.

It is not "true" tiptronic. The shifter is more meant for putting the vehicle in a lower gear for towing or bad weather etc.
It's says so in the owners manual. You said your self about the delay in tip shifting. I wouldn't use this to race anyone. You are better in D.

You don't need to let off the gas when shifting up, same as "D" drive but you take the control.

I use my tip tronic daily, but just when I start the car and its cold. I use the tiptronic to move up a gear sooner for a smoother start, after 10 mins I just leave it alone, but theres a real difference when you change up when cold. Also it should have a 2 sec lag before changing,? its instant for me
