for those who replaced Mass Air sensor...
my air mass flow sensor needs replacing. already have the new part and know its fairly easy to do but in addition to replacing the sensor, does anything else need to be reset?? or do i just plug in the new sensor and im good? please help me out, thank you

Very easy DIY......only needs a screwdriver and 10 minutes time.
If this caused the CEL to come on, it will turn off after 3 cold starts.
If you're due for a state emissions inspection, some OBDII senors will need to reset to a 'ready' condition, which will take a couple of hundred miles of drive time.

plug and drive, if it was not installed right, the engine light will come on and means air is leaking out.
make sure its tight and snugged good

All he was going to reset was the error code and even that goes away on its own after driving it for a while. The only issue would have been if you were getting the car smog inspected soon after. In that case it would have been beneficial to get the error removed...but at 150 I would have found someone else to do it. Glad we could help you out!!

Takes about 3 mins to remove the error code with a Star thingy (if it comes up) $150 - so thats ish £100 for 3 mins work or £33 per minute - hmmm - I'm moving to the States thank you
