Hey guys Im looking for a 5.5L M113 amg non kompressor for a possible swap into my clk430. Ive checked around ebay and Potomac German.
I might be able to buy a 55 short block from Potomac Auto and I guess use my bolt ons from my 430 but I still need heads. Im not sure if I will need the ECU or if I can retune my 430 to be compatible?Any help is greatly appreciated!

Goto the sticky threads in the C36/43 forum. All the info you need to do this swap will be there. Your present ECU should be fine or you could send it to Kleemann.

I did PM that guy but his engine has a bad piston and 100k on it so not interested in the engine but I did find a short block with 70k on it(not bad) so I might try to buy his heads. I will check out the C class thread for the swap info. I know Tech-tune from benzworld did this also in his SL500.

I forgot to mention that I will also be running my modded HPS gen 2 on the 55so will the ECU from the 430 still work since I will need custom maps that go beyond the stock 55 maps?

Find me a cheap 55k engine and I will sell you my NA 55 engine. I just had it apart 2 weeks ago and replaced head gasket. It has new seals, water pump, timing chain cover etc and trapped 130mph last week

Very tempting. Im a little hesitant though, that engine has been through how do you say, quite alot of spirited driving lol. How many miles is on it and what type of money are we talking? Also I remember you making a comment about wanting a custom hood. I actually have been kicking around putting a stock one on and selling mine, which kinda sucks because I had to have a custom mold made and everything cost about 4 thou. I wouldnt look for anything near that though. Maybe we can come up with some crazy deal that we both benefit from. You can PM the details.
