Yes, all are possible, but the button steering wheel requires a new instrument cluster and other things to mke it all work. If you really want to get this done, talk to Steve (MBenz NL). You can get ahold of him at s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com He's done this conversion on a couple of e classes. It might take him a little while to respond cause he's in LA right now and has a ton of people emailing him to get stuff done.

nyc...if that is New York City...then I might be in your neighbourhood soon...

The multifunctional steering wheel can be done without a single doubt...it takes a couple of hours and can only be done in combination with the newstyle instrument cluster as Josh said (did that previously in several 202s and 210s).

changing steering wheel?

I have been told many times that a wheel is not possible because the whole harness/optics are not compatible w/99ckl. Have you actually done these and they work? If they do....put me in line! Tom

I have also heard that people have been told that a comand cannot be retrofitted into a car after factry delivery ...

Besided having installed the MF steering wheel on W210s, I also installed MF stering wheels and instrument clusters on 202s...and remember: those have never been available with that feature from factory at all!!!

Don't believe everything that people try to tell you.

My authorize dealer told me that modding the instrument panel and steeling wheel will void the electrical and may be the power steering warranty.

Are they ripping me off?

Also, is the blinking mirrors compatible with my 99 clk430 ?

Sorry for so many question and thanks for all the answers.

The blinking mirrors can also be retrofitted quite easily.

The dealer will tell you a lot of crap, especially if you tell them that you CAN do what they just told you was impossible. They don't like when people point out how dumb they are, so they play the warranty card.

The best thing to do is just not tell them what you've done, and if you've already done so, find a new dealer to take it to. If Steve's the one who ends up intalling your stuff, his installs are so clean that if you don't tell them what you had done, they probably won't even realize anything's been changed.

If you're really paranoid, you can always wait until the warranty's up, but what's the fun in that? ;0)
