Cabin Air Filter

I just changed my cabin air filter yesterday and I wish I had a picture of the old one. I dont know how leaves, dirt and pollen got in there but they certainly were. The filter was also black, and, to make things worse, the assembly that the filter goes into was filthy dirty discusting. Kinda like brake dust on rims. Cleaned it out with fantastic and water.

Results were noticeable almost immediately. The airconditioning worked much better (although maybe it was just in my head) and it pushed more air more quietly. Does anybody know if the ML or a w124 has these filters?

Instructions

Can you post some instructions on how to change the filter. After reading your post I feel I should check mine! Ho much are new filters? Can they be cleaned?

Thanks!

very simple

chaning the filter is very simple. Just unscrew the plastic panel by the passenger side footwell, and look for a rectangular black box with 2 white sliding locks. Slide the locks off, take out the filter, but observe how it sits in the assembly. Wash out the inside with a damp paper towel use fantastic and or lysol and then use water. Then pop the new filter in and ur done.

After seeing ur filter, you wont want to clean it. The filter cost me around $40 at the dealer.

W124, 1995 E320, cabin filter changeout?

Does anyone know how to change cabin filter for this '95 please? Had it done over a year ago by local, trustworthy, shop but would like to do it myself; can't be all that difficult, just where and any necessary advice too.

My shop charged $30.56 for a "microfilter sold as set". Labor was lumped into other work for that day.

Thanks.
