2005 CLK55 COUPE
Rear tire size
Is anyone running 265 35 18's on a 9.5" rim? From what tire rack says 255 35 18 is recommended for our cars but I kind of like a particular tire well at least for the price and they do not come in a 255. I guess what Im asking is, will a 265 35 18 tire on a 9.5" rim rub the wheel well? Planning on getting some new rim/tiress in a month or two.
Thanks
Thanks

It all depends on if your lowered and what the offset of your rims are. If it were me, I'd go 225 40 18 in the front and 255 35 18 rear. Again thats me and I like to stay as close as possible to stock specs when it comes to tires because the farther you get from that you dont know what you'll run into.

I'm on a 9.5" rear, ET35, using 255/35/18 Nitto Invos. I barely clear the inner well plastic and rub slightly on a lift.
It all depends on the offset, camber and tire you're running (square or rounded shoulder). Unless you absolutely must have this tire, I'd just be safe and go with 255 -- there's plenty of well priced, good performing tires in this size.
