My Plasti Dip experience
Decided to try out plasti dip. Have to say I am quite pleased. It is a very cheap and completely reversible way to try a new look. I sprayed my grill and a set of 19s I had laying around. used 4 cans for a grand total of $25. I always said I would never go the blacked out route but for that price I had to give it a try. Also if i didnt like it, you can literally peel it back off and the wheel will be just as you had it before.
now for pics.

What a great idea? For me I love the black grill its understated and sleek. For the wheels can you keep the rim shiny and just do the middle black that would be perfect !

in regards to leaving the lip polished, it is all a matter of what you want to tape off. the only thing you have to watch out for is drying time. this stuff dries really fast so it can adhere to the tape as well. this would be an issue when you go to remove the tape. but a razor blade could solve that problem.
as for the finish I really like it. It could stand another coat to make it perfect but if you arent analyzing the crap out of it, you won't notice imperfections. honestly if you are curious about trying it I say just do it. All you have to do is clean the wheel and spray. If ya don't like it peel it back off.

The finish is matte i also used this stuff on my grill very durable finish. Very easy to apply no prep work needed just make sure surface is clean.
Its kinda a rubberized look same finish you would see on remotes or on cell phones. The grippy rubbery material is your final finish result.
You can spray on emblems without masking it peels off easily.

yeah like I said, I am not much for the blacked out look but I had to try it. Kinda bored with those wheels anyway so I thought I would change it up.
I will now take this time to say I have been trying to sell them for a while

i dont know why but having the grill blacked out seems to make the stock silver wheels "pop" more. love it.
