My Birthday Present To Myself:

Monday the 25th, my car will be going into our shop for some minor horsepower improvements. When I get it back, it will have 430HP and a Kleemann Supercharger sitting on the motor! I also will be doing something about my wheels, and Brembo brakes this week!

I'm getting the Carlsson RS kit from EvoSport, it's on its way to EvoSport shop in Hunnington Beach, just have to wait a little longer. After the bodykit has arrived I'll be getting 19" Carlsson 2/5 Brilliant Editionfor and Lorinser Roof Wing for my birthday. I might be able to get the Kleemann supercharger for my car later(not now), then I can arrange a time to test the Kleeman superchared 320 and 430(Ben's) together.

Who's CLK55 is that with the Kleemann kit on it?? Is that the one you are talking about before? Or is that Sleestacks'?

That was the one from before. Mine should look the same, only the car is red.

If you or anyone would like a demonstration of it when it's finished, shoot me an email.

Happy Birthday Ben!

That's awesome power. How much would that mod cost us run-of-the-mill-mortals?

Do you think that the trans/driveshaft/final drive is able to handle all of this power/torque?

I guess only time will tell, if those CLK 430 standard components are up to the task.

Enjoy the rush! Someone here has a great radar detector for sale.

Thanks Karl, it's Lowryder's Birthday too!

Prices for the Kleemann supercharger vary depending on the on the engine, but you can see a list at:
http://www.evosport.com/product/perf...edes.html#w208

My Brembo Front 13.1" Brake kit costs $3295, and can be found here (as well as Kleemann brakes lower on the page):
http://www.evosport.com/product/brak...es.html#brembo

MB Tranny's are able to handle up to 620lb-ft torque, which unfortunately I will not have... yet Further, Kleemann has been supercharging Mercedes for over 10 years, and has yet to lose an engine or tranny. That, combined with a ride in the 55K, made my decision very easy. Plus, you can purchase an extended warranty for around $1700, which will cover the Kleemann upgrade.

Enjoy the rush! Someone here has a great radar detector for sale. [/QUOTE}

Will do! You can count on me posting how much I love it once it's done. I think Lowryder returned his Passport already.

Better yet, how do all of you justify these expenses to your wives/girlfriends? I had a hard enough time justifying the car itself. Maybe I'm just whipped...

(Ben's Woman):

He justifies the expenses of his car by spending just as much money and time (if not more) on me!

And he got me a ride in a modified Ferrari 550 Maranello yesterday! Which he will also be buying me in the future.

And Ben is most definitely whipped!

My birthday was awesome, I went to downtown disney w/ my girlfriend, we ate at Naples and bought a police polar bear at build-a-bear which is also my birthday gift from my girlfriend. After that my huge *** birthday partee begins at my house, ordered 5 large pizzas and they finished it FAST like animal style, watched Fast and the Furious DVD of course, N64 in the other living room, and most important of all, everybody boxed in the garage. They're friendly matches, watching my own friends get beat up by the others is fun :o) We do this every once a while just let the angers out. After that my friend's Porsche Boxster ,MB S-class, and I went on the free way for a little drive. I hit my top speed many times, and raced a Supra w/ nos, I was pulling him away from me at my top speed around 135-140mph, and he wasn't moving much also. All the sudden, he accerates, cut me off at least 150mph. Now I really need a supercharger !! Also raped a Eclipse at top speed, and boxed a Miata and went 40mph on 5...haha. My birthday was great!! How was yours Ben? Being 18 is the BEST!!!! I can do so many things now !!

Ben:
Pls. send round-trip ticket. I think I can squeeze it in. Tax/promo write off for you. (humor)

Lowryder:
If you keep this up, have your last will ready, the end is emminent. Ricers here have fatalities fatalities here all the time -- at much lower speeds. (non-humor)

Ben,

How much HP do you think you are actually going to get? I'm guessing around 410? As for the transmission and other parts being able to handle the extra power... MKB sells a beefed up transmission for around $1500. I've been speaking to them about other parts as well. Depending on where my final numbers come out, I might at least go for the transmission.

I'm thinking that I'll get 420HP since my car originally dynoed at 275. I'm taking off the 10HP because my ECU is set to US specs. I'm also looking into the tranny upgrade.

Thanks John!

One hell of a present you've got there Ben! Happy B-Day!

BTW: When you guys installed the Kleeman kit to Simon's E55, do you actually have the dynoed numbers? Can you e-mail/PM it to me. I would really like to see what the rwhp is??
