What do you think of these?
I'm currently looking at a 2000 clk430, 15k miles, all options except phone and command system (which I don't really care about), silv/blk in excellent condition (except for curb rash on 3 of 4 wheels), standard warranty, owner is asking $45.8k.
or
A 1999 clk430, 16.5k miles, all options except phone/command, blk/gry, has a Brabus badge, with rear spoiler and rear window deflector, might have aftermarket springs but the second owner isnt sure (looks like an H&R ride height), and an 80k mile ext warranty, for $45k.
Opinions? I think $45k for the '99 is high. Thanks again for all of your insights. This is a great forum!

Take the original purchase price of the car (don't add luxury tax, sales tax, or license fees) and run the numbers. 69% is if the car is in mint condition.

To the original poster, the $45.8k price for the 2000 CLK430 is what you should expect from a dealer. You should be able to get it $2k-$3k less from a private party. It is pretty good though for a car that only has 15k miles.
The 45k for the 1999 CLK430 is a little high though. Even though is has about the same mileage as the other one. It should be about $3k less that the 2000 CLK430 just because of its age.
Edmunds.com is a good place to find the True Market Value (TMV) of a used car.
Hope this helps.
I probably should have explained where I was getting 69% from. I got it from cars.com.

-This is according to "outstanding" condition (Exceptional mechanical, exterior and interior condition; requires no reconditioning)
-If its "clean" condition (Some normal wear but no major mechanical or cosmetic problems; may require limited reconditioning.) Then you would deduct the full condition adjustment above from the total.
This should help you-- Try to buy it for 43.5 or something, also i wouldn't recommend the 99 because, it has an older interior, and you are missing the blinkers on the side mirrors, and the 2000 is just better.

Anyone with the Command system have an opinion on whether its worth it?
I appreciate everyone's opinion too. Thanks!

Amg Exhaust.
H&R lowering spring + Bilstein Sport or HD (I have them both)
I still have all the stock Exhaust, Spring and Shock.
I would wait till July/August & look for a 2000[1] CLK430 for around $37,000 [$42,000] w/Command.
Command is an undervalued option, which I thought was a waste. But a posting & overwhelming positive response on this board convinced me to get it. The technology is spectacular! Speaks to you in 6 different languages and guides you to your destination via female voice instructions & graphics w/adjustable scales. The command system integrates all audio, radio and CD functions. I just love mine, always receiving 4 to 8 satellites here in SE Florida.
Wait, and your patience will pay.
