Help with Amg badge decision! Time to be Amg poser!

VIP...the CLK55 and the AMG are the indication that it is an AMG car. You can go round and round with this but if you don't have an AMG from the factory, your car is not an AMG and badging it otherwise is a poser. If you want to pose, that's your right. If you want to continue, why not just go to the poser thread https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg...mg-posers.html that has been around for 4 years now and convice everyone there.

Your car does not need to say AMG on it for it to be cool. You could have the nicest NON-AMG car with an AMG sticker on it, and you will get laughed at! The same car without the AMG badge is a NICE CAR, and NOT a poser. The AMG POSER is the same guy that buys a Cubic zirconia, and attempts to pass it off as a diamond.

hahah wow this thread is still goin on lol i didnt mean to stir up such any trouble or heated discussions but i only wanted cus it looks nice and matches my car, not to pose as an a fake AMG or anything. However, i would never put the ///AMG on the rear or a 55 badge after my clk. As a matter of fact my CLK is debadged in the rear because i think it looks cleaner. Personally, if i had a CLK55, i'd debadge everything as well just because imo, it looks nicer that way.

I guess most of everyone that posted something on this tread is a poser in a way in my opinion!!! From looking at your pictures of your cars almost everyone has change wheels,body kits,sound systems,after market high performance engine mods and ecu's,exhaust systems,etc.,All of those parts didnt come from factory when all of your cars were build in germany !!Just like the AMG badges that some of us put on our cars !!! Enough said !!

Thank you, exactly my point. except one thing that the w208 was actually never tuned by AMG, because all the amg parts that went on the 2001 on clk55 w208 was already introduced from two years before on the 430. the only think amg on the w208 clk is the motor and thats not even an amg tuned just bored 430 motor, the trans is off of the 600 models and the tcu and ecu are identical to the 430 just different ratios put in by benz themselves not amg, all the electricals, coils, maf.. everything identical to 430 and 320. AMG didn't truly start tunning mercedes cars until 2003 and thats why later down the line they started adding their builder plaque to the engines because they were actually tuned by amg mechanics.

I actually do, and gurantee you i have more authentic AMG performance and auesthetic parts on my car than you do. lol and in the process is the actual AMG brakes and 55 motor and the actual AMG speed shift trans. when mine is done AMG will be taking notes.

I'm not trying to break any hearts, but somebody can put as many AMG parts on a VW bug (it's German!), and it still won't be an AMG.

I'm not trying to pass mine as an AMG because belive me some of my own tunning and parts that i have created is much more supprior than AMG, i just like some of their parts and i'm using them and am running the emblem not the numbering(not untill my motor swap is complete, and thats how i like it, if someone else doesnt they dont have to do what i do! and yes you can make a none AMG mercedes an AMG, buy the front clip and install motor, ecu and the ignition, and guess what your car is an AMG because the VIN number is registered in the ignition and the ECU and when you scan it the vin comes up as an AMG, lol. trust me man, you can circle around as much as you like but it can be done and done right. but i guess this is where i'll end things becuase this is just gettig down right boring and is unproductive.

thats exactly my point by saying unproductive, how the hell does a VW has anything to do with our AMG conversation?! if you gonna argue argue with something that makes sense. The amg models and None Amg models are the exact same freakin body, suspension(exception of shocks and springs) electrical and about 85% of the rest of the parts. so what are you talking about how the hell is a your analogy of turning a vw to an AMG by putting parts on it relevant?! just stop while your ahead, because coming from an AMG owner you sounded very ignorant by trying to make fun of me by using an example like that. hahaha .....try to get advice from an AMG POSER? no thnaks...I got things better to do the this. Called me a NOOB? lmao!!!!! I been tune cars for 13 years ever since my 467hp TWIN TURBO 300ZX to recent EVOs. I always been around fast cars just pretty new to German cars that is all.
