2000 CLK 430 convertible
New guy/ 00 CLK
Hello, this afternoon I'm picking up a 2000 CLK 430 convertible with 36,000 original miles. The car looks and drives like new. The dealer is installing heated seats for me (it was originally a Florida car) , doing a service B and a transmission flush.
Anything else I should have done or look out for? It looks like the car has been driven 1-2000 miles a year by an elderly gentleman in a retirement community so it has been driven regularly but sparingly.
It has the Harman Kardon logic stereo and speakers are labeled as Bose. CD changers and cassette players don't do much for me so I'm already considering a new 2 din in dash Navigation system. Any suggestions are welcome.

The heated seats would be a nice addition, how much did they quote you?

This is what I did. In my case a single DIN was used, but the theory is the same for any head unit. My goals were for the steering wheel controls to work, to use the existing BOSE amp and speakers, and to NOT cut any Mercedes-Benz wires. Besides myself, many have done all three with no trouble.

MR EWORM-----I am curious as to what the dealer sold you the car for. I have just purchased a 2000 CLK 430 cabrolet with 26,600 miles. it belong to elderly(HA! im near 80!) , Lady and it was kept in a 4 car climate controlled garage . IT saw rain for ist time yesterday!! I paid 10K for car and have been offered $25K for it--- car always in florida , as i am. thx Doug bkrdoug@yahoo.com
