the only difference I see is that the S-Class engine bay is a little more cramped and it has more 'stuff' in there... engine looks the same, the cover color is a little different
And if your neighbor still insists that his engine is bigger than yours, tell him to put it to the test and go for a quick 1/4 mile or something... hehehe

intake piping is also different. My guess is that since the CLK has less engine compartment space, they had to modify the intake pipe and some other who knows what crap.
