I want the center piece of my Carlsson rims finished in black.....

dont know what is involved, probably wouldnt be willing to spend the money, probably wont even look into it, but i really wish the center piece of my carlsson 2/5 was finished in black, with just the polished lip and silver bolts holding the two peices of the rim together, keeping the silver carlsson centercap....

sorry its late, and my mind was wandering, anybody else think this would look pretty cool on my white 430? i think i would get tired of this though.....

but, just to throw it out there more out of curiosity than any desire to do it, how much does something like that cost?

If you have the rims disassembled and powdercoated you're probably looking at around $500. I was thinking of having my wheels powdercoated and only leaving the lip machined, but once I got my kit put on, I decided to keep them silver.

I think the black wheel with the polished lip would be cool as hell, but I don't know about leaving the center cap silver. Would probably look better black.

Petie do you have any pics of your car so we can get a better idea of how it might look?

Please excuse my horrible 2 minute photoshop, but here is how I saw it......I kept the center cap black because I don't think it would look right on a white car with a black wheel and chrome/polished lip.

Although I agree with you somewhat, I think the polished Carlsson caps would look sweet (matches the lip). If it was the silver colored caps I would agree with you, but if he's got the polished ones, I would keep those.

i do have the polished centercaps, so thats where i got the idea to keep them, although they look good with the black.

heres a picture of my car, not a great one, but im getting my whole front grill painted black this week, so that would look good with the rims too i think...someone with photoshop feel free to have a good time...
