Question No Air through the vents!

Hello I have a 1998 Clk 320 I've just bought. History of the car is that it hasn't been used for a while (4-6 months) on a regular. I took it to a car wash and after the car wash I started flooding under the glove compartment which then led to no air being blown through the vents as well as the light to the screen not being lit. What could be wrong? I thought it could be debris stuck in? This is my first BENZ and i'm a bit lost.

Below the lower edge of the passenger side of the windshield is the air intake vent. At the bottom of that vent is a drain. That drain may be clogged. For the dead HVAC controller, I would check the fuses.

below the glove box is the motor fan for the air vents, it may be that this has either got jammed or shorted. You can see the motor if you remove the bottom panel. You can remove the motor by undo-ing the screw and check the comutator for signs of water damage.
Does the fan sound like it comes on ? if so the cabin filter maybe soaked if water got in perhaps?
