How did you get them blacked out for 180? Just curious because I am looking to do this and the website (smokedmaps.com) is charging 145 for each outer lamp and 90 for each inner lamp. A total of $470!! Way too much for smoked lamps. 180 would not be too bad though

Light coats of black paint, masking paint around the white over all red, leaving only the white part exposed, light coats back and forth. Very easy. Sand down the white part first though. I think Testor's makes the paint, you can find it in any hobby store.

As Vik said, you just need to mask off everything except what you want to paint. The tint darkens as it dries so VERY light coats are what you want so you don't end up making them too dark. Mine have 2 light coats.

I sprayed the outside. Since I only sprayed the white portion, there wasn't really a need to sand. If I was spraying the whole lens then I would definitely sand to cut down the orange peel.
