Question who made MB SLR in the garage??
I heard this guy made this own MB SLR in his garage and posted some of his work online....does anyone know the link of that forum site???

I really think that is a horrbile thing to do........but man that guy has some serious talent. That is extremely complicated and very impressive. What is the "base car?"

according to that forum, it may have originated from a Mercedes C126 Chassis Coupe

yes was done from an old 380SEC Coupe I think.

Must have hand made all the panels etc...

better quality???
you must be crazy... it is a beautiful work of art considering he started from scratch... but in no way is the quality better than a real SLR, definitely not the performance....

of course the real deal will have better quality... i definitely prefer the interior of the real thing...

Well his interior is modeled after the concept car's interior, which had soft covered surfaces, while the production car is full of normal plastic.
