Factory HID/xenon to CCFL projectors questions, need advice!

Guys Im sure its been asked a million times but through searching I've only got more confused if and how this is done.

I have factory Xenon setup on my 01 430. I'm replacing my bumper and figured I'd swap the headlights to projectors since the bumper will be off.

Here are the lights I'm looking to buy: (Not going to use the LEDS on my car)
-If there is a easier or better set I should buy instead let me know!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160943728218...84.m1423.l2649

What else would I need to make it all work?
-Drop links if you can, I'd appreciate it
-I'd like a 6000K color and can I tie the halos into the foglight wiring?

Thanks a lot, I have a new bumper shipping from Poland and want to have everything else ready to go by the time it gets here. I will def. get some pics up for you guys!

Cheers

Would a pair of these allow me to use my current bulbs/ballast/wiring with the new projectors without any issues?

I wouldn't do the halos since halos belong to BMW cars! I will try to open the headlight and remove the halo do a search on blackbenzz and see he's set up!

I'd have to agree with you and prob won't even hook up the halos.

Does anybody know if those are the right adapters?

I'm looking to do exactly what you are doing. From the information that I gathered you can use your existing OEM ballasts as long as you use this piece...

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/D2S-D2R-AMP...adapter_02.htm

I believe what that does is allow you to install H7 sized aftermarket bulbs with your factory ballast. These are the bulbs i'm referring too...

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/High-Intens...bulbs_only.htm

Furthermore, if you wish to match the colour of your H7 high beam to the new HID setup...see this link...I ordered these bulbs just in case I ever need to use my high beam again which might be never since the HID is so bright...

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/JDM-Look-Su...yper_white.htm

And just so everything matches I also ordered new LED City Lights that match the 6000k HID.

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/OBC-Error-F...ba9_sku_2a.htm

One other issue I was told of is that if you headlight washers...you lose them with the installation of the new lights...there is a link to a post a while ago about retrofitting the washer to work with the new projectors but unfortunately I cannot find the link at this time.

I will post pics and progress as I go...expecting to install the lights by the end of the month.

Cheers,

KRis

Correction...looks like the low beam bulb size on these units is H1 versus H7. So you would probably want to order H1 bulbs instead...for some reason I always thought it was an H7 sized plug.

Kris, thanks a lot for the info! Do me a favor and post back on this thread with an update and maybe pics if possible! I think this would be a valuable thread considering its almost guarenteed to come up again on this forum.

Again I really appreciate it! Trying to decide if I would want to go with 6000k like you are or 8000k....

Hi Kris
So how did it work out for you ?
One thing you need to be aware of is the new headlights you buy it is not sure your factory xenon bulbs will fit into the bulb socket, trust me been there, but swapped out the factory xenon ballast with aftermarket since the aftermarket xenon bulbs are smaller as I could not fit my factory xenon bulbs into the new headlights funny enough they fit nicely into the high beam lol....But interested let us know how it goes mate

CLK 320 Coupe
Hi, I own a 2000 CLK 320 and it will be in for paint soon, so I was thinking of changing out the old headlights with something new. Maybe projectors, chrome with cheese grater or not?, the vehicle is silver coupe. Any ideas what would be best in terms of looks and light?
