My '99 CLK430 has 97,000 miles. BTW it just stoped on the highway the other day, had to call road side. It was the crank sensor, get your checked or replaced b4 the same thing happens to you. Thank God my dealreship was about 5 miles away so they came right away!

These things are hardly built to go high mileage. I wouldn't put them up against a honda in terms of how many miles they can go.

My mom had a ford that went (still going, but sold) over 300,000 miles in 11 years with no major problems.

FORD??? as in Fix Or Repair Daily / Found On Road Dead....

I would never buy another Ford... from the moment we got our first Ford, the radiator blew out within 6 months... and it repeated itself every year after that... left em stranded at school once too... then few years later, A/C went out, SRS went out, Radio went out...

I trust my Honda much more than a Ford.

I think the MB engines can last quite a long time... their Diesel engines were pretty good too...

how are you gonna compare a ford w/ a CLK? doesn't make sense. I don't care if a ford has a million miles and is still running....it's still a FORD> Mine has 75K on it and has NO major problems yet......but many many little annoying ones.

yeah.....if you take care of your car by changing oil every 3,000 mi. there should not be any problem with the engine. The only minor problem I have is the passenger seat squeak when being sit on. Other than that it's a great car!! A lot of people said 1999 CLK have a lot of problems.........I pretty much prove them wrong now. Or maybe I am just lucky. peace. see yeah in 100,000 mi.

Mine is almost at 79K and running strong. Just drove it to Vegas this weekend. With the cruise control set at 105mph, my wife was still able to peacefully doze off while I enjoyed the views. I even hit 135mph at one point and the car felt like it was doing 75! Drives like a dream...
My Expedition on the otherhand has been back to the dealership at least every other month. At only 24K miles it has had so many problems I can't wait till we finally get rid of it.

I'm thinking of trading it in for a Lincoln Navigator but not sure if the Lincolns are any better. I'm hoping that Ford puts a little better Quality Control into their higher end models.

I hope nobody bought their CLK for reliability and long life, because they absolutely suck for that purpose. We've had many a lexus in the family, and they have gone well over 200 thousand miles strong. You cannot and will not beat japanese dependability, ever.

MB is still cool as hell though.
