2000 Mercedes Benz CLK 430 AMG
2000 clk 430 NOT running normal
I have a 2000 clk 430 v8 and i can't figure out whats wrong?
I changed air filters and fuel filter.
When i press the gas it cuts out and has no power?
I cleaned the mass air flow sensor but didnt effect anything?
Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

You'll need a code reader. Specifically, one that utilizes the CAN (control area network) protocol. Now for some really good news - many auto parts stores will loan you a code reader for FREE. They may ask for a credit card deposit to ensure you actually return their code reader, but other than that, it's free.
Plug the reader in to the ODBII port. The port is under the dash, to the right beneath the steering wheel area, and there is a clip covering it. After it's plugged in, record the numbers that appear. Many code readers will allow you to clear the codes, which I would do after writing them down. At any rate, take the codes you wrote down and look them up at this webpage. If the codes seem confusing, just post back in this thread and people will be happy to tell you what they mean.

Do you install the fuel filter the correct way round?
I would start with this, put the old filter back on and see, is the pipe bent?
