89 Octane
I am about to purchace a clk320, and the guy who I am buying it from says he uses silver gas in it. He has only had it for about 7 months and bought it as a stamark certified used vehicle. Does using the wrong fuel cause serious engine damage?

Hard to say for sure
I don't think so. If the price was right I'd buy it. The injectors may have some deposits so run some very good high octane fuel thru it for a few thousand miles.

FYI, a 320 with those specs would run for around $24-26K here in L.A.

sean6543 - I have to agree with the others that you found a good deal provided it has a clean title. Congrats!

MBWorld Fanatic!
i suggest that once you get the CLK that you pump only premium fuel in there... treat your baby right... poor fuel grade and degrade the engine's performance... may even make the car idle rough
