CLK430 - New Blower Regulator....
Just replaced the blower fan regulator and it solved my issue of the fluctuation in fan output, but now, the fan stays running car on or off. I have searched, but nobody has a solution for this. Can anyone advise? Is it on a timer or something? I didn't wait long after I discovered it running....
*EDIT* - Start car, everything work fine, speeds are good, air out put is good at all speeds, etc. Shut off car and blower runs for 15-20 seconds at a slow speed. I then hear a click and the fan goes to 1/2-3/4 speed and doesn't stop until I unplug it.
I'm about ready to put the old regulator back in it and just live with the fluctuations in air flow.....
Thanks.
Greg

Per the link below, it's a pretty simple DIY.
http://www.panchogun.com/FVWebPhotos...bin-Filter.jpg
The 3 wire plug is keyed (e.g. goes back on only one way). Check that the 2 wires from the regulator to the motor were put on correctly.
If that checks out, odds are that the new regulator is likely the problem (e.g. wrong part or defective unit).
When I changed my blower regulator, I bought the Behr OEM P/N 2108206210 from autohausAZ.

Well, I bought the one I got from some place in NYC. It was 50.00 bucks. Looks like I'm biting the bullet and getting one from the same place you got yours. Hopefully, that's the solution.
The one I took out has a part number of 202 820 73 10. Everything I look up regardless of price or manufacturer has the part number you listed. Are they the same????

The old factory part I took out was also 202 820 73 10.
Before ordering the Behr OEM P/N 2108206210 replacement from autohausAZ, I did a lot of searching/reading on the forum and it's the one everyone has been using.
As I recall, it appeared to be an improved replacement (e.g. beefier heat sink), but fits perfectly.

Second time that going cheap ended up costing me! I'm out 50 bucks because electrical parts are not returnable, even if they are cheap chinese knock offs that don't work!
Oh, first time was the brake light bulbs. After trying everything an auto parts store could provide, I ended up going to the dealer and buying the 6.00 bullbs. It solved ALL my issues with the brake lights.
No more going cheap for this guy. It doesn't pay!!!

Very common for electrical parts to not be returnable (even at at MB dealers).
However, they should replace a defective part that was sold.
I recall reading somewhere in the forum about the MB brake light bulbs, while looking similar to commonly available bulbs, have a different pin connection configuration on the base and you had to be careful getting the right replacement type. Some auto parts stores do carry the correct bulb, but you need to know the part number.
I believe the P/N 7225 Osram Sylvania bulb that autohauzAZ sells for $2.49 appears to be the right one.

TY sir!
Well, thanks for the advice, and the place to get the part that actually worked! Now, off to see if I can land a cabin filter, as I removed it while I was under there and got burried in leaves, pine needles and dirt! It's a wonder the damn thing blew any air at all! For sure the original filter.....
