Whats a good, reasonable price oil extractor?

So my 2002 CLK 430 needs an oil change soon and I called the dealership and the price for my oil change would be $182.00 at one MB dealership, and $200 at the other one. I figured i'll pay that one time fee since I wont have to get an oil change for roughly a year or 10000 miles (my brother told me 7500). But I want to invest in an oil extractor. Whats a good reasonable price ranged one..?

You can do it for nothing by getting under the car and doing it the old fashioned way

I use this one. Its high capacity so you only have to empty it once after you are done.

I've been using an Electric Drill Pump for years.

Its made by JABSCO (PN 17215-000) and sells for $35 - $40. Comes with a dip stick tube, discharge tube. The pump is self priming pump and chucks into a 1/4" or 3/8" electric drill.

Works great. I got mine at a local West Marine supply store.

cheapest oil extractor I have found is a wrench, on the drain plug.

It's the cheapest but a pain due to its location. You have to remove the underside plastics every time you change the oil. Over time you're going to wear out the fasteners and have to replace them. It would be nice if Mercedes made the drain plug more accessible. I did it once from the drain plug but the rest of the time it will be from an extractor.

When draining from underneath; you need to put the car on a ramp, remove the splash shield, use a large wide mouth catch pan, clean up the usual spills/splashing etc....all and all a pretty messy job.

Additionally, because the bottom of the drain hole is a bit higher than the bottom of the oil pan, you never get all the old oil out. In the 90's, when the extraction method became popular, there were many disbelievers (including me) but, after draining from below, there were numerous postings that verified that they were able to extract additional oil with using the pump method.

With the extractor method, it's a lot cleaner and faster, because you can do everything, on a level surface, from the top.

Before pumping the oil, it helps to break any existing vacuum by fully loosening the filter cap. I also find it easier to pour the new oil into the filter opening, before installing the new filter.
