CLK-320 Soft-top Ops Problem - Rollbar/Headrest Malfunctions
The symptoms are as follows:
- The rollbar/headrest control button on the dash lights up with a steady RED light; and
- The top up/down switch flashes a RED light on/off.
Temporary Fix - If I hold down on the rollbar/headrest control button and listen for a clicking noise from the headrests, as if I were lowering them, although they're already in the full down position, the lights go out and I can manually open the trunk. This only last a short period of time, almost as if there's an intermittent switch changing on/off states. Of course, I cannot operate the top when the lights are RED, in an 'on' state.
Any ideas or experience with what might be causing this kind of problem? Could it be a faulty safety switch of something similar? Also, where are the rollbar/headrest switch(s) located?\
Appreciate any help/advice you can offer.
Thanks,
Rob da' DIY'er

At this time, just about everything that could go wrong with the power roof has been covered. When new threads begin, on previously covered material, it creates more search noise and makes finding help much more difficult for others.
