Godd morning gents,
I'm trying to find out why I'm getting water coming into the footwell area of my clk430 rag top. No rain, so that's not a issue, and no wash lately. So the only thing I. Can think of is the Ac. Is there a hose for the condensate on the drivers side also that may be clogged and coming into the drivers footwell area?
Any info would be appreciated.
I have changed the cabin filter about 4 moths ago, but this only started in the past week.

its the heater core piping that runs from behind the dash into the engine bay.
Thx for your reply, but isn't it supposed to have the antifreeze smell then?? There is none, and no feel of antifreeze either. When you mentioned heater core piping, did you mean the core itself or a supply hose? The wetness is on drivers side. I thought since no antifreeze smell that maybe there was a Ac drain hose located around there??
Thx

Try removing the drain plugs from the back of your sills and cleaning the muck out. They get blocked and overtime your sill fill up with water. Eventually the water spills over the top of the inner sills in to the car and floods the foot wells. Also the drain plugs under the bonnet round the bulkhead are another favourite.
Even though it's not rained, water stays in those sills until it can get out and driving around just swills it about until it gets in to the car.

Be careful cos the water may get in to your O2 sensor and trigger you CEL to come on. See a full write up here from me a few years ago: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...nt-advice.html

How about the AC drain, My 124 was nauseating for water leak from the sun roof and the AC.
I learned much working for an indy and checking the AC drains during basic service was a common inspection on all benz chassis. (former ASE Master).
