Talking Kleemann Brakes installed.....

Ok, its 1:45 in the morning and we just got back from the garage installing my Kleemann Brakes. look great. sorry this is a thread without pictures right now, but im excited and i figured id just add pictures to this thread tomorrow, assuming i can figure out how to get them up seeing as how i cant upload anything onto here. egh, ill figure it out.

still have full Kleemann nappa/alcantara interior to get installed, going to cost quite a bit and i want to find someone that will let me do a lot of the work and just have them do the sewing and head-shrinking and what not. guy i talked to didnt want any of that, said he wanted to do it all himself (because he wants more money). just dont have $800 lying around to get it installed yet, which sucks because it looks so badass and i want it in my car last week.

oh well, so yeah, ill have pictures tomorrow, calipers were sandblasted and then painted red with white KLEEMANN lettering. cross-drilled rotors.

sorry again about no pictures yet.

edit: figured id just put the pictures up here. sorry it was prewash and getting dark, but yeah...

random one i took...

pictures tomorrow, youve got my word.

as far as doing it myself....it was myself, my dad, and a friend. this made it a little easier to do obviously. i wouldnt say its a horribly difficult task, its all pretty straightforward, assuming youve done it before. if you know the basic process its not hard. the first time i helped to it, i was certain that if i had tackled it myself i would have screwed up and made a huge mess of things. there are some things, like getting the air out of the brake fluid, that i had to learn carefully because it wasnt something i wanted to screw up. helps to have a hydrolic lift and an air drill too (not really your standard garage that we have to play in )

have someone explain it to you step-by-step as they do it and you help, and i think youd feel fairly comfortable with it. hell, if i can do it all with help, then its not too hard :o . im a car fan, i love them, but i defintely cant take my car apart and put it back together or anything like that. maybe one day.

hmm... i think thats enough to say, "Danny, don't try this yourself"

Air Drill & hydraulic jack can be bought pretty easily, but, just don't know the specifics on how to change the brakes myself... I think I'll leave that to the pros when my time comes...

If I'm gonna spend big bucks on a big brake system, why go el-cheapo by trying to install it myself and risk the chance of messing everything up...

Can't wait to see the pics
