Flat Hood Emblem..

there is a C32 AMG parked downstairs at my work and he changed it to a big star grill and a flat hood emblem. I looked at the emblem and its different. The center star is metal but its smooth as if there is a really thick clear coat over it. Its different from the regular flat hood emblems that I see on our CLK's. Does anyone know about a diff version emblem like this?

Thanks,
Rob

i'm pretty confident to think that, the emblem you see is from a MB reef wheel cap....

I have a few caps myself, and yes, it looks to have a thick clear-coat... and the emblem itself is essentially flat

here you go... check it out... all you need to do is use a dremel or any tool to file down the back, and use some double-sided foam tape, and there you have it...

a new/different flat laurel reef badge....

yeah, they aren't too expensive... somewhere are $12/15 each... but it'll take some work to get it onto the hood as mentioned above
